Welcome to the 205 (Scottish) Field Hospital (Volunteers) section of the Army website. We are Scotland’s only Territorial Army Field Hospital.
We are a hospital just like any other with the same highly trained clinically current professionals providing first class healthcare delivery, as you would find within the NHS.
The Army Medical Services (AMS) Reservists are employees of NHS Scotland; same people, different environment.

OTTs Reunited is the website where serving and retired members of the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) who served as Operating Theatre Technicians, Operating Department Assistants and Operating Department Practitioners can communicate, contact colleagues and place personal and professional messages. There are website links to other military sites of interest, civilian job opportunities and recruitment agencies specialising in operating theatre roles.

As an Operating Department Practitioner, you’re part of the team of professionals caring for patients during and after medical operations. You may be treating injured soldiers in field hospitals close to the front line. Wherever you are, you need to keep your cool to support the surgeons and anaesthetists you work with.
